What I’m Listening to This Week // Danger Days.

This feels like a deja-vu from last time I posted about my music selection! I found myself abandoning my preferred quiet alternative taste and needing to jam out. With my car windows down, hot air on my bare arms, and the sun smacking my face, anything soft seemed too boring to live through. That’s when My Chemical Romance blasted out of my speakers and I was hooked. Unlike their earlier work, Danger Days left me in a happy, pumped mood. Their final album takes a dramatic shift from their dark past that I just can’t get enough of.

Why I’m listening to it.
I love My Chemical Romance’s outstanding album, The Black Parade. Gritty, rude, and exciting, I still listen to it every once in a while. But Danger Days takes on a different note. It’s fun, in your face, and quirky enough to catch my attention. It took me quite a while to put the titles to the songs and remember which are my favorites, but that forced me to peruse the album more than a few times. I love the weird titles and fluctuating lengths and feel of each song. Although, I have to say I’m a little bit biased to the whole thing due to my favorite song on the album.

My favorites.
While I am not a fan of ever song on the album, the handful I love is enough for me to enjoy the entirety of it. Planetary (GO!) is my far my favorite. I’ve been listening to this song almost on repeat for the past few days. S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W and the albums big pop hits, Na Na Na and Sing are also so fun to listen to.
Those are just my preferences, don’t take my word for it.Pop this album into your car and figure out which songs you like the best. You definitely won’t regret it.
