Blog stalking // The Freckled Fox.

I am so thrilled to share my first running segment with you guys. This won’t have weekly scheduled posts but it will definitely be a recurring chapter here at Ordinary Adventures! I found this lovely idea while I was.. well. stalking a blog. It hit me right then and there that I had to share my own sneaky escapades here. More importantly though to share with you all some really amazing blogs.
After all, reading and skulking around other blogs was how I was motivated to create my own. I have pulled ideas and encouragement from some amazing bloggers and their work has helped me hone in on how I want not only my site to look, but my life as well.

So without further ado…

When I decided to start this segment I thought for quite a while who I should talk about first. I have seen some absolutely beautiful and fun and thoughtful blogs in my lifetime. I also have some awesome friends who are starting out on this blogging journey, like I am, who are making names for themselves. My point is: I had a large pool to choose from!

After skimming my “Blog” folder on my bookmark bar, it was obvious though. I scrolled back all the way to the top to the first blog I have on my list. Not only is it the first because it was one of the earliest blogs I got into, but it is also probably my most visited blog!

I have to come clean. I am a hard core stalker of The Freckled Fox. Emily is my hero.

She is a lovely mama of FIVE who I truly believe can do just about anything. Create masterpieces  out of hair? Check. Fashion guru for pregnant women, ladies of all ages, and children? Check. Dazzling chef that creates mouth watering treats? Check, check, and check.

I mean seriously, can this woman come be my personal hair stylist for the rest of my life? Please? If you don’t have the same reaction when you check out her hair tab, you’re crazy. When you scroll through her tutorials though, you’ll probably realize that a lot of them look familiar. If you own a Pinterest account and are a girl, then you have seen some of Emily’s posts. Her hair styles are chic, fun, and pretty easy!
I was smart enough to click on one of my pinned hair dos for more information a while ago and it lead me to straight to the Freckled Fox and I never looked back.

What I think I like most about this blog though, is just Emily herself. She is such a quiet, lovely soul. Whatever she writes about, there is a certain class to it. She has turned her life into one that is inspirational. As she cares for her beautiful family and manages a mind blowing blog, she’s making fun crafts, food, and lists, while making her and her kiddos look way too adorable for their own good. Emily is definitely the type of lady that motivates me to make some changes.

Even if it is to try out that new style or to read about her life, something always seems to strike a cord with me. She seems genuinely connected with her followers and when I sit down with her newest post, I feel like I’m reading an email from an old friend.

All in all, I love checking in every few days to see her next project, I hope you guys will too!

  1. This is such a wonderful idea. I went over to her blog and am instantly enthralled by her style and even more so, her ability to maintain this glamour AND be a mum of five. Puts me to shame! Thank you so much for sharing.

  2. She sounds awesome! Definitely checking her blog out sometime! And what amazing photos she has! So peaceful and beautiful filled with love. I really like this segment you added to your blog! I’m always looking for new bloggers to follow because I feel it helps widen my perspective, generate new ideas, and learn new things. Plus its fun!
